Accessible through a unique login at FreshPage.com, the site manager
houses custom programmed, proprietary software specifically created by
The Polaris Group to assist
companies and organizations like yours to maintain specific areas of
their web site. Basic site maintenance
such as adding new employee bios, upcoming events, or news can easily
be accomplished without the knowledge of HTML coding or purchasing costly
3rd party web authoring software.
As a reminder, you do not need to purchase any 3rd party software, web authoring tools or the like, to take full advantage of the functionality of FreshPage. To perform changes, you need only an Internet connection, a computer with a recent version of Internet Explorer or Mozilla installed, and a basic knowledge of computers. A basic graphics program may be helpful if you are working with many photos, but not required.
Site Maintenance
To perform web site maintenance (updates), a site administrator can log
into FreshPage.com where a list of self-management applications will
be available to choose from. After entering a specific area such as Events
Manager, News Manager, etc. the site administrator may then add, edit
or delete information. After saving additions or changes, the “live” public
web site will be automatically updated.
All this can be done quickly and without contacting a third party web
development company to perform the changes.
Training | Support | Upgrades
Initial training (via phone or at our office) is included in the setup
cost of the programs. Phone support is also available Monday-Friday from
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to answer questions or help troubleshoot problems
as they arise. Many of our users find the programs simple to use and
often times need no “formal” training. Before making a specific area
(such as an event calendar or news area) of your web site live to the
public, we will allow you a testing period to become completely familiar
with the software. Application upgrades will be performed on an as needed
basis and are included with the cost of the annual license/support/maintenance
packs.
NOTE: Due to the fact that each accompanying piece of software is
developed in-house by our company, additional features and customization
may be available for your company. If you don't see the functionality
you are looking for, simply ask and we can create something custom
for you!
